You just need to contact our Support Team to set up the Basic or Advanced File Backups on your Arcustech VPS account! They will take care of the rest.
We provide this level of backup service as an included feature for all VPS Plans, at no additional cost.
Each VPS plan includes full server "snapshot" disaster recovery backups on a schedule of four (4) restore points, on or about the 1st, 9th, 17th and 25th of each month.
Included "Snapshot" Backups - You can request a restore by contacting our Support Team for one of the previous 4 weekly points in time.
Basic or Advanced File Backups - You can easily request a file, folder, database, or any combination, to be restored. Restores can be done back to the original location, or restored to a recovery directory or new database name upon request. As a fully managed service, you simply need to request what you need restored, and from when, and our Support Team will assist you from there.
Initially, you will be charged a pro-rated amount based on the number of days between activation and your next VPS server billing renewal date. In the future, you will see the Basic or Advanced File Backups as a line item each time you are billed.
These are "average" recovery speeds based on factors such as type of backup (full disk vs. file level), and the amount of data being recovered. A single file recovering is not going to take hours of course, but a request for a video directory with 250GB of video files may, for example.
